I chose the School of Public Health and the University of Alberta because this institution is one of the top five universities across Canada. I’m a born and raised Edmontonian, so I didn’t want to be too far from home, but I also felt that this is my best option.

I love that our school attracts diverse backgrounds and different interests and we all meet and work together under the umbrella of public health.

My supervisor, Jeff Johnson, is a great leader and he gives me the freedom to go and find my own interests. We have a structured yet relaxed relationship, and that fits my learning style.
