MPH [Global Health] student
I had worked as a primary care physician for five years and had always felt that curative service should be accompanied by preventive measures. Promotion of preventive measures will result in a positive long-term impact for healthier lives. To have a broader perspective and to understand public health in broader context, I decided to enrich myself by studying at the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta, a pioneer and leader in public health sciences.
From the day of orientation, I knew I made the right choice. The School’s various projects and research activities around the globe have provide lots of learning opportunities, and my MPH advisor is very encouraging and supportive. I’ve greatly valued the ability to share my ideas and discuss questions both in and out of the classroom. The School truly makes graduate study accessible and enjoyable.
